I can’t trust the News
Ever since the Covid-19 outbreak took off in the United States, my wife has been glued to CNN. She hangs on every word, and calls her family to spread gloom and doom.
I can’t stand it, so I shut the door to the bedroom and write my stories and Medium posts. If I see another Whitehouse Press conference I will scream. The News Media is lying.
I was on Twitter, I read a tweet from a nurse. She said that Emergency Rooms are not as slammed as the News says they are. I also watched a YouTube Video posted by a Virologist and Infectious Disease Expert from Europe.
He made the case that social distancing is the worst thing we could do. He talked about Herd Immunity, something that made sense to me, but I did an Internet search today. Other scientist say Herd Immunity is hogwash.
I don’t know what to believe, and why is Covid-19 such an obsession to begin with? Every year, there’s a Flu outbreak, and every year lots of old and sick people die.
The fact that thousands died in China, is more the fault of the Government’s lies and stone-walling then the virus itself.
The News, with its talking heads, breathlessly regale us with stories of embattled hospital staff and sick people, and open hostility toward the Administration for not taking our Rights away fast enough.
