The joys of being a pantser, I can't write a story with an outline.

What I like about writing fiction is also what I dislike about it: I never know what’s going to happen. As a pantser, I write without a plan and let the characters grab my hand and take the lead. But sometimes I feel like they’re screwing around with me and leading me down a messy, tangled path that has no end.
