Will I ever be good enough? Or does my writing suck as bad as I think it does.

Every time I read a good book or short, I wish that I could write as good as the author that I’m reading. I have dozens of short stories in my laptop that I have never submitted, until I submitted one last week.

It was the nicest rejection letter, the Editor complimented me on how well the story was written, and he referenced Characters and scenes in the story, so I know that he actually read it.

He said he couldn’t publish my story, but he encouraged me to keep writing. I was stoked that he took the time to write me back, and I was more stoked because he liked the story.

This has got me thinking, where should I submit to? my stories don’t seem to fit a niche or genre. I write to amuse myself. Maybe I should do some research and write what people want to read. But, why be normal?

So, to answer my own question, I am good enough, and I will get better the more I write, and my stories don’t suck.
